In a near future where Earth is slowly becoming uninhabitable due to severe dust storms and failing crops, humanity faces the urgent need to find a new home among the stars. Cooper, a former NASA pilot turned farmer, struggles to care for his family while the planet’s resources dwindle. His daughter, Murph, is especially bright and curious, but she holds onto a sense of abandonment after Cooper leaves to join a secret mission that could save humanity.

Cooper is recruited by a team of scientists led by Professor Brand to pilot the spaceship Endurance through a mysterious wormhole near Saturn. This wormhole is believed to lead to distant galaxies where potentially habitable planets orbit other stars. Their mission is to explore these planets and find a new world for humans to thrive on. Cooper leaves Murph behind, promising he will return, though he knows the journey could take years or even decades.

The crew of the Endurance includes Brand’s daughter, Amelia, and several other astronauts. As they travel through the wormhole, time dilation becomes a critical obstacle—hours spent on some planets equate to years passing back on Earth. This gap creates deep emotional tension, especially for Cooper, who desperately wants to reconnect with Murph, now grown and working as a scientist on Earth.

The mission encounters numerous challenges. One planet is covered in deep water with massive tidal waves caused by its proximity to a black hole, while another is a frozen wasteland. The crew faces not only harsh environments but also the psychological strain of isolation and the ticking clock of Earth’s deteriorating condition. Meanwhile, Murph on Earth works tirelessly to solve a complex equation related to gravity, which could make it possible to launch massive space stations to save people left behind.

One of the most intense moments comes when Cooper decides to sacrifice himself by detaching from the Endurance and plunging into the black hole, hoping to send vital data back to Murph through some unknown means. Inside the black hole’s strange dimensions, Cooper experiences a surreal environment where time is represented as a physical space. He discovers he can interact with moments from Murph’s past, sending her coded messages through gravity to guide her research.

Murph eventually deciphers these messages, solving the gravity equation needed to save humanity. Cooper is rescued and wakes up on a massive space station orbiting near Saturn, where he reunites briefly with an elderly Murph. She encourages him to find Amelia, who is alone on a distant, habitable planet, continuing the mission to build a future for mankind.
